See our 5-step Funeral PlannerHello,
My name is Stephanie and together with my family, we own and operate Personal Farewells, proudly serving the Sydney community for many years. Over this time, we’ve built a trusted reputation of providing comfort and support to families looking to honour and celebrate the life of their loved ones through meaningful burial and cremation funeral services.
Have you ever attended a funeral, and while the service was a solemn occasion, there was a lack of connection to the essence and life lived by the departed? As independent funeral directors, we’re committed to providing a range of funeral options with a personal touch. Our defining characteristic lies in our attention to detail, ensuring that the uniqueness of your loved one shines through in their final tribute. Our approach is both subtle and profound, weaving a tapestry of rituals and narratives that transcend mere departure to become a lasting legacy.
From the initial shock of loss to the eventual closure, we pledge unwavering support throughout your journey. No request is too trivial, no detail too insignificant. We believe that the funeral service should reflect the essence of the life it commemorates. Whether it’s religious beliefs, cultural preferences, or the scale of the ceremony, we handle each aspect with utmost care. Our commitment is to encapsulate your loved one’s essence in the fabric of the service, ensuring that their presence resonates within the room and lingers as cherished memories.
We understand the profound impact of loss and regard our services not as mere transactions, but as a testament to our bond with those who entrust us with their grief. Our team is here to simplify the process for you, taking care of the practicalities and administrative burden, and enabling you to focus on what matters the most. Through our round-the-clock availability and a dedicated point of contact, we’ll be that shoulder to cry on and that helping hand to aid you in finding solace in your time of sorrow.
Allow us to be there for you.

Direct Cremation
$2990
(no "from" pricing)
A direct cremation offers a respectful manner to say goodbye to your loved one. This option reduces the overall cost by excluding additional extras that may not be suited to the wishes of your loved one. When the ashes are returned to your family, it allows you time to organise a memorial service more suited to how your loved one lived their life.
Cremation &
Memorial Service
From $5590
Cremation and Memorial Service is a more inclusive option that may be suited to your family. It combines the benefits of a traditional service with the lower costs associated with cremation. A memorial service allows family and friends to share in commemorating the life of your loved one and provides your extended network with a chance to comfort the immediate family. Additionally, a cremation eliminates many costs associated with a full traditional funeral.
Service &
Cremation
From $8100
For some families choosing a service and cremation is a more comforting and therapeutic way of remembrance than choosing direct cremation. The service provides an opportunity for friends and family to bond and share in commemorating the life of their loved one in a safe and comforting environment. It also allows one to follow any religious requirements and other ways to remember your loved one.
Graveside
Burial
From $6490
A graveside burial provides a more traditional way to say goodbye to your loved one and is an honourable way to respect their final wishes. For many people, a visit to the cemetery helps them cope with their grieving process and allows them to strengthen their relationship with those they have lost.
Service &
Burial
From $7100
For many a service and burial provides the most comprehensive way to commemorate the loss of a loved one. It provides a respectful occasion to be with the ones you care for the most, get closure and deal with your grief together. This option also provides compliance with both religious and non-religious requirements and offers a permanent location that your family and friends can visit in the future. Often a burial plot can be selected where your loved one is laid to rest, alongside their spouse, family member, or any significant loved one.

We can not thank Personal Farewells enough. Kate and Stephanie were both very lovely, informative, helpful and kind to my family and I, at such a difficult time. I would definitely recommend their services.
A special thank you to Kate & Stephanie for their assistance in planning my Dad’s funeral. From the very first conversation with Kate, we felt like we were in good hands. Kate was available at all times to assist us, she was kind, thoughtful & also bright & bubbly when we needed to laugh. The service was incredibly special, a beautiful celebration of Dad’s life. We were guided every step of the way, from helping choose a celebrant & the gorgeous flowers, designing the memorial book & ensuring our video presentation was just as we wanted it. I would highly recommend Personal Farewells, Kate and Stephanie were wonderful!
Very much happy with professional service and help during difficult time. Stephanie did everything possible to support us and solve all our problems.
Thank a lot.

After less than optimal experience with another funeral company in recent times, an online search led me to Personal Farewells. Their service was outstanding. Stephanie guided us through the process with sensitivity. Her kindness and professionalism were greatly appreciated and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I was distraught when faced with the task of organising my mother’s funeral in May this year. I didn’t know of, or have experience with funeral directors. I telephoned several ????. I was lucky to reach Kate and the rest is happy history. We were compassionately guided throughout the whole process. We met with Kate and her kind, calming, reassuring manner shone throughout the planning of the cremation and the final arrangements.
